Silicone-based anal lube

Unlike the water-based personal lubricants, silicone-based lubricants are perfect for shower, bath or pool sex. They tend to be much thicker and longer-lasting than water-based lubes. The silicone creates a pleasurable gliding feeling, which makes the anal sex much more enjoyable and safe.

Silicone-based lubes are not always suitable for use with condoms or dental dams, as the silicone can erode the latex causing risk of breakage and therefore the spread of STIs. Always check on the packet or product information to see if that particular product is compatible with latex condoms. Silicone-based lubricants will also damage silicone sex toys, so if you’re using silicone-based lube with a vibrator, butt plug or anal dildo, make sure the toy is made from glass or metal only, never with silicone toys.
